Giving

SUPPORTING THE VISION

We believe that giving is part of our worship. It shouldn’t be something we do out of a sense of duty or coercion. Generosity is a natural response when we encounter the grace and generosity that God has given us. It is the generosity of our congregations that enables us to continue to do God's work here in this benefice and among the villages we are a part of.

If you’re part of the church we would love to invite you to give regularly; just grab a Giving Envelope at any of our Sunday services to set up a regular standing order or give a one-off donation. If you are a UK tax payer, please do complete a Gift Aid form, available on the back of our Giving Envelopes. This allows us to reclaim the tax paid on your donation, at no cost to you.

If you have a query regarding giving, or would like further information, then do get in touch with Revd Jan by emailing her at vicar@chwchurches.co.uk.

HOW WE USE YOUR DONATION

All Donations go into what is called the 'General Fund', which is an unrestricted fund which can be used to support the church in a variety of ways. These include supporting the work of the church, as well as maintenance, heating and lighting costs, insurance, printing etc.

Christ Church Henton are currently fundraising for a 'reordering' which means the rearranging or adaptation of the church to suit current and future changes in religious practice. There will be more information about this on our website in the coming months.

WAYS TO GIVE

There are different ways to give to our churches:

CASH & CHEQUES

You can give via cash & cheque by putting them in the collection during any Sunday service.

If you wish to write a cheque, make it payable to any of the churches in our benefice:

For Christ Church, Coxley: PCC of Christ Church Coxley with Godney

For Christ Church, Henton: PCC Christ Church Henton

For St Matthew's, Wookey: PCC of St Matthews Wookey

If you are a taxpayer then pop your donation in a yellow gift aid envelope before you place it in the collection.

STANDING ORDERS

We are able to take Standing Orders for a one-off donation or a regular monthly donation. Please click on the buttons below to download a Standing Order Form for a particular church in our benefice. Please print out this form, fill it in and then post or deliver it to the PCC Treasurer named at the top of the form.

If you are a UK tax payer please fill in the gift aid section to allow us to reclaim the tax, at no extra cost to you.
